Celebrate International Women's Day #BreaktheBias
Ok, so strictly speaking, International Women's Day, held each year on the 8th of March, was established to celebrate the world-shaping achievements of women - the female forces of nature influencing the world in which we live. Over time it has evolved to become the perfect opportunity to celebrate the fabulous women in all our own lives - daughters, mothers, grandmothers, sisters, and friends - the Queens who bring love and joy to every day.
In no way a new-fangled celebration, International Women's Day (IWD) has roots as far back as 1911 when events were held across various countries. More than one million people attended rallies campaigning for women's rights to work, vote, be educated and end discrimination. We have come such a long way since then; however, any event that makes us take time to appreciate people in our lives is worth an acknowledgement in our book.
A worldwide celebration, International Women's Day is the perfect excuse to give a massive high five and a heartfelt 'thank you, to the woman, or women, who make your days…simply better.
