Omega Seamaster
Omega Seamaster
Omega’s most famous watch. Discover our range of pre-owned Omega Seamaster watches and save thousands on this iconic timepiece. First launched in 1948, the Seamaster was Omega’s first family of watches, modelled after the waterproof wristwatches worn by the British military during the Second World War. Building on the success of Omega’s older diving watches, the brand engineered the Omega Seamaster with a resilient rubber O-ring gasket, allowing it to withstand depths of to 60 metres and temperatures as low as -40°C. To celebrate the original style’s 70th anniversary in 2018, Omega released a selection of limited edition Seamaster 1948 watches, a perfect tribute to the post-war classics.
In 1957, Omega took the Seamaster even further with the Omega Seamaster 300. Unlike its predecessors, the Seamaster 300 was specifically designed for underwater use, able to withstand depths of 200 metres. Since the 50s, the Omega Seamaster has seen dozens of iterations, including the Seamaster Professional, the Diver 300m and the Aqua Terra 150m. But despite this evolution, the Seamaster 300 has remained a firm fan favourite, receiving a major resurgence when it was selected as the official James Bond watch in 1995. In the twenty years since, various Seamaster 300 styles have appeared in both the Pierce Brosnan and the Daniel Craig Bond films, cementing its status as the ultimate luxury timepiece.
