The Omega Speedmaster Professional “Tintin” 311.30.42.30.01.004 is one of the most distinctive and collectable modern Speedmaster references, instantly recognisable by its red and white chequered minute track, inspired by the rocket featured in Hergé’s Explorers on the Moon. Originally introduced by Omega in 2013, this model was quietly discontinued after a short production run, earning it cult status among collectors. Housed in the classic 42mm stainless steel Speedmaster Professional case, the watch features a matte black dial with luminous baton hour markers, recessed chronograph sub dials and a tachymeter bezel—retaining the iconic Moonwatch proportions while adding a bold racing style accent. It is fitted to a stainless steel bracelet with a fold over clasp, offering both comfort and durability. At its heart is the legendary manual wind Omega Calibre 1861, the direct descendant of the movement used in NASA qualified Speedmasters. Known for its reliability and historical significance, it reinforces the Tintin’s place within the Speedmaster Professional lineage. What began as an unconventional design has since become one of the most sought after modern Speedmasters, prized for its unique backstory, short production period, and unmistakable visual identity. The Speedmaster “Tintin” is a standout addition to any serious Omega or Speedmaster collection. Sold as a full set with an Omega box, original warranty card, pictogram card, instruction manual and hangtag. This watch was first sold in Japan in January 2018.
