Elegant, refined and unmistakably IWC, the Portugieser Automatic 40 IW358404 distils the collection’s most iconic design elements into a perfectly balanced everyday timepiece. Combining classic proportions with modern mechanical excellence, it is a watch that effortlessly bridges formal and casual wear. This reference features a 40.4mm 18ct rose gold case, paired with a silver-plated dial accented by gold-plated hands and appliqués. The signature Portugieser design is immediately recognisable, with its applied Arabic numerals, railroad-style minute track, and elegant small seconds display positioned at 6 o’clock. Powering the watch is the IWC Calibre 82200 automatic movement, visible through the sapphire exhibition caseback. Engineered for reliability and precision, the in-house movement incorporates IWC’s Pellaton winding system and delivers excellent everyday performance. The watch is finished on a dark brown alligator leather strap, complementing the warmth of the gold case and enhancing its timeless aesthetic. Its clean dial layout and balanced proportions make it one of the most versatile models within the Portugieser collection. Sold with an IWC box, original warranty card and instruction manual. This watch was first sold in July 2025. This watch remains in unpolished condition.
