This IWC Big Pilot IW500401 is an iconic aviation-inspired timepiece. Its robust 46mm case is crafted from stainless steel, featuring a distinctive oversized conical crown for easy adjustment, even when wearing gloves. The matte black dial is clean and highly legible, with bold white Arabic numerals and a luminous triangle at 12 o’clock. The watch also boasts a power reserve indicator at 3 o’clock and a discreet date window at 6 o’clock. Powered by IWC’s in-house automatic movement, the 51111-calibre, it offers an impressive 7-day power reserve. Paired with a black alligator grain leather strap, featuring black stitching and a stainless-steel deploymant clasp, the watch combines durability with comfort. Sold with an inner IWC box, not in great condition, as well as its original warranty and instruction manuals. This watch was first sold in February 2014. This timepiece is a masterful blend of utilitarian design and luxury craftsmanship, paying homage to IWC’s rich history in aviation watches.
