This Cartier Santos de Cartier WSSA0065 is a refined reinterpretation of one of the world’s first wristwatches, blending aviation heritage with contemporary elegance. Presented in a midsize 35.1mm stainless steel case, it features the iconic square silhouette with softly rounded corners and exposed screws that define the Santos aesthetic. The dial is a rich, gradated brown sunray-brushed finish, offering a warm contrast to the polished steel case. Rhodium-finished sword-shaped hands, filled with luminescent material, sweep across Roman numeral hour markers, while a faceted synthetic blue spinel cabochon adorns the 7-sided crown—an unmistakable Cartier signature. Powered by the in-house 1847 MC automatic movement, this model delivers reliable performance and is protected by a sapphire crystal and water resistance up to 100 metres (10 bar). The watch is fitted with a stainless steel bracelet featuring Cartier’s SmartLink adjustment system and includes a second strap in brown alligator leather with a folding steel clasp. Both are equipped with the QuickSwitch system for effortless interchangeability. Sold with a Cartier box, original warranty card, instruction manuals, hangtag and tool; as well as its original purchase receipt. This watch was first sold in Italy in October 2024.
