This Cartier Santos de Cartier Chronograph W2SA0008 is a bold reinterpretation of one of the worldās first wristwatches, blending aviation heritage with modern elegance. Presented in an extra-large 43.3mm x 51.3mm case, it features a striking combination of stainless steel and 18k yellow gold, with exposed screws on the bezel that pay homage to the original 1904 design created for Brazilian aviator Alberto Santos-Dumont. The silvered opaline dial is framed by rounded angles and seamless lugs, with black steel sword-shaped hands coated in luminescent material for enhanced legibility. The chronograph function is powered by Cartierās automatic mechanical movement, with a discreet start/stop pusher integrated into the crown and a reset pusher at 4 oāclock, maintaining the watchās clean lines. A faceted blue synthetic spinel adorns the 7-sided crown, adding a signature Cartier flourish. The watch is water-resistant to 100 metres (10 bar), making it suitable for everyday wear and light aquatic activity. This model is supplied with both a steel and a black rubber strap, each fitted with Cartierās āQuickSwitchā interchangeability system and āSmartLinkā adjustment for effortless customisation. Sold with its original Cartier box, warranty card, and instruction manual and tool; as well as Cartier service papers circa July 2025. This watch was first sold in October 2022 .
