Few watches carry the weight of history like the Omega Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch special edition 3577.50.00 from Moon to Mars is no exception. The 42 mm stainless steel case retains the classic asymmetrical design introduced in the 1960s, complete with twisted lugs and a brushed/polished finish that exudes timeless appeal. The black aluminium tachymeter bezel frames the dial, offering functionality for timing speeds—a feature that has become synonymous with the Speedmaster’s racing and space heritage. The black dial is a study in precision and detail. It features the traditional tri-compax chronograph layout with recessed sub-dials at 3, 6, and 9 o’clock. Within these sub-dials be found Earth, Mars and the Moon. Complemented by luminous baton hour markers and white hands for optimal legibility. Powering this watch is the legendary manual-winding calibre 1861, a direct descendant of the movement that accompanied astronauts to the Moon. Renowned for its robustness and reliability, this calibre offers a 48-hour power reserve and is protected by a solid case back with engraved special for this edition. The watch is paired with a stainless-steel bracelet featuring a mix of brushed and polished links, secured by a folding clasp for comfort and durability. Water-resistant to 50 metres, this Speedmaster is as practical as it is iconic. Sold with an Omega box, original warranty card, pictogram card and instruction manual. This watch was first sold in the UK in March 2007.
